Monday, September 10, 2001, was the grand opening of the new Broncos stadium.
I was there in the South Stands with Annie for Monday Night Football, a new Bronco season and the new stadium. My favourite player of all time, Ed McCaffrey, was injured. We at the stadium didn't know what the injury was, but we knew it was bad because... well, because Easy Ed *always* bounced back, but this time he was down for a long time and they carted him off the field in one of those miniature farm trucks.
I figured I'd find out what happened the next morning on the news.
